Cantv's mobile telephony operator will start mass import of BlackBerry technology, of the Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM), during the first half of the year. Once the legal case for technology patent rights is ended, Movilnet announced that it will launch the service in two months. As it was pointed out by Movilnet's president, José María de Viana, the company will be the first local operator to trade BlackBerry.
On the other hand, Movilnet announced the launch of new devices for 1x and EVDO among which the handset Apache Audiovox can be mentioned, which has capacity for Windows Mobile, that operates GSm and CDMA over 1x and EVDO networks.
