Ertach impels its broadband telphone service

The new name of the telephone on broadband company of Ertach, starting yesterday, is Fontach. It deals with an IP Telephone service through wireless networks on 3.5 GHz with several nodes using WiMax technology, which Ertach started to offer last March, which currently adds 350 clients that use 500 telephone lines. Even though the company is currently offering the service in Buenos Aires, La Plata, Rosario, Cordoba and Mendoza, the plan is to implement it throughout the country within the next months.

Ertach`s executives seek to impel this service, which according to their calculations will allow Pymes companies to save an average 50% on telephone bills, compared to the line impelled by Telmex to compete in the region. In fact, one month ago, the investment group Sociedad Comercial del Plata (SCP) signed a letter of intent to sell Ertach to Telmex, and the idea would be for the company to not stop the implementation of its projects, in spite of the time that the official approval of this transfer may take.

According to the executive director of Ertach, Luis Galli, the approvals could take between six and nine months, to obtain the authorizations from the Communications Secretariat, Secretariat for the Defense of Competition and of the Judge that is processing SCPs bankruptcy. “The due diligence has already concluded positively and we continue investing”, assured Galli to Convergencialatina during the presentation of Fontach.
