BVC and Movilnet launch new multiuse card in Caracas

The Venezuelan Bank of Credit (BVC) and Movilnet, cell operator of CANTV, will initiate in the city of Caracas the first test of the new card "Un1ca Plata". According to José María de Viana, president of Movilnet, clients will be able to recharge balances on prepaid lines of Movilnet, pay in offices affiliated to the network and cancel the payment of Mastercard in 180,000 points. On his behalf, García Mendoza, representative of BVC, highlighted that the bank “gains the possibility to expand its client base” and added, “Through the service it will be able to detect people with potential to become bank customers within the middle term”. Moreover, the initiative aims to strengthen bank services throughout the population. According to both companies, the service would expand nationally.
