Movistar reported to the National Public Services Authority that it has begun the migration process and subsequent shutdown of its CDMA network, which it expects to conclude on April 01, 2008. The company said that this step will optimize the use of low frequency GSM technology and that it already informed its CDMA customers that they will be able to choose the most convenient plan especially designed for them.
