Telcel to offer roaming service in the United States to prepaid customers

Telcel, local subsidiary of América Móvil, announced that starting this month customers of prepaid plans ‘Amigo’ (Friend) will have roaming service in the United States. This service will be available in more than 3,000 U.S. cities where the company has agreements with local providers. The cost for all incoming and outgoing calls is US$ 2.30 and in border cities, from US$ 1.10 including VAT. The price to send written messages is US$ 0.53 (including VAT) and in border towns, from US$ 0.51 (including VAT). Messages received will have no cost.
