CEO of Altice Dominican Republic said, "2016 will be the year of convergence for us"

Speaking with Convergencialatina, Abdelhakim Boubazine talked about the integration of Orange and Tricom (that perhaps they retain separate brands) and expansion of fixed and mobile networks. He also analyzed the impact of the consolidation in the Caribbean, after Cable & Wireless purchased Columbus.

Following the acquisition of Orange and Tricom in the Dominican Republic in 2014, the Altice Group has earmarked an investment of US$ 130,800,000 to deploy 1,000 km of fiber optics this year and install mobile antennas (which it already adds 350). Likewise, in an interview with Convergencialatina, the executive advanced the project of building -although they have not yet defined limits or more details- its own submarine cable.
