Interview with Federico González Luna, executive director of Ibero-American Telecommunications Organization (OTI)

"OTT is not the enemy, but it should be regulated"

Convergencialatina spoke with the president of the OTI on the relaunch of the organization that brings together major media concentrated groups in Latin America and on the new audiovisual scenario.

In mid-April, more than 30 Spanish and Portuguese speaking content and telecom companies of Ibero-America and the United States met in Miami, Florida, for the relaunch of the Ibero-American Telecommunications Organization (OTI, for its Spanish acronym). The objectives for the new stage, include, among others: "promoting better regulatory practices, defend freedom of expression, improve access and connectivity for people in the region, and encourage the creation of content for distribution on any platform".
