Amazonas 5 satellite already in orbital position giving services

The satellite of Hispasat was launched on September 12 to position 61º West. The device built by Space Systems Loral (SSL) has a useful life of 15 years and through the Ku band, it will provide direct television services to the home (DTH) and allow the television service providers that operate with HISPASAT to transmit 500 new channels and boost TV in 4K in the region. Ka-band capacity will be oriented towards the provision of broadband connectivity services and satellite Internet access to more than half a million people in several countries of Central and South America.
