The Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA) (National Institute of Agricultural Technology) and Microsoft signed a collaboration agreement to develop AI projects applied to agriculture and livestock. Fernando Riccitelli, IT Manager of INTA, told Convergencialatina that they are working on conceptual tests with sensors on cows that will allow them to trace movements and body temperature. On his part, Ezequiel Glinsky, director of Digital Transformation Projects of Microsoft, advanced the tendencies of use of IA in the field: analysis of large volumes of data to reduce the environmental impact; cost reduction and performance improvement in agriculture and livestock and biodiversity tracking to anticipate epidemics and prevent pests.
