Controversies, uncertainty and possible claims for spectrum tender in Colombia

Less than two months having elapsed as from the process for allocating frequencies in 700 MHz, 1,900 MHz and 2,500 MHz - with which it is expected to obtain an investment of US$2 billion -, the Government faces tough questions from the participants.

On December 12, the MinTIC will tender up to 90 MHz in 700 MHz -one of the bands most expected by operators such as Tigo, which have no licenses in low bands -, 5 MHz in 1,900 MHz, and up to 80 MHz in 2,500 MHz.
