DirecTV has already migrated 50% of the information from its data centers to the Cloud

The process started two years ago and will be completed in 2022, according to Alejandro Chao, Executive Director of the Operations and Infrastructure area of DirecTV Latin America. In a virtual event for Oracle's 30 years in Argentina, the executive described the application cloud migration program for areas of supply chains, human resources, sales and data centers, hand in hand with Oracle. “We managed to reduce data warehouse processing times by 50%. We have a year and a half of migration left, and we want to finish it by the 2022 World Cup. It is an important milestone for DirecTV and we seek to be “full Cloud” by then," he stressed.
