Chile raises US$ 453 million in 5G tender

The amount is 512% higher than the US$ 74 million raised in auctions held throughout the country’s history nationwide. Yesterday the 3.5 GHz band tiebreaker was held: Movistar, Entel and Wom were awarded 50 Mhz each. The process had started in February 2019. The big winner is Wom, which added 500 MHz.

Subtel evaluated the economic offers in the 3.5 GHz band tiebreaker, with Movistar, Entel and Wom declared as winners yesterday, each with 50 MHz. The amounts offered were US$ 163 million, Movistar; US$ 139 million, Entel; and US$ 45 million, Wom. Claro and Borealnet did not achieve any block of this band.
