5G synchronism: the problem that comes

The use of TDD technology generates the "Time Error" effect. The solution involves deploying more clocks, bringing them closer to the user and creating a more distributed architecture. In the case of satellite backhaul, Telefónica Global Solutions aims to solve the problem with GNSS receivers to provide synchronism.

Complying with the synchronism requirements in 5G networks is one of the great concerns of operators with deployments of previous generations. This is being seen in the 5G  deployments in different countries of the Latin American region, and it is a situation for which no provider is prepared, Rubén López Moya, Capacity Manager, Space Segment - Satellite Services at Telefónica Global Solutions, told Convergencialatina.
