5G specifications disenchant everyone equally

It is the main milestone of the current management at the regulatory entity Enacom. But the companies raise objections to the contest rules due to the price of the spectrum, the obligation of a social rate and the allocation of the upper part of the 3.6 GHz - 3.7 GHz band to Arsat, the Argentine state operator. On August 28, the board of the Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (Enacom) approved the Tender Specifications for the Allocation of Frequency Bands Destined for the Provision of Reliable and Intelligent Telecommunications Service (STeFI, Resolution 1285/2023 -5G Specifications-), which opens three lots of 100 MHz in 3.3-3.6 GHz for tender, with a base price of US$350 million each, for a period of 20 years.
