Starting this month, the country is linked to the optical fiber submarine cable that runs from Portugal to Brazil. Bella II is a program co-financed by the European Union, and Colombia is now part of it. This follows the entry of the National Academic Network of Advanced Technology (Renata) and the initiative Building the Europe Link to Latin America and the Caribbean (Bella II, in English).
