Will there be a power shortage to meet the demand for data centers and AI?

Different voices from the data center and energy industry warn that new technologies, especially AI, require an electricity supply that the sector has few chances of meeting, even more so with the pace of growth of new infrastructures.

Executives from energy supply companies have come out in recent days to warn about the possibility of energy shortages becoming a bottleneck for the deployment of data centers running artificial intelligence applications.
