Telecom not afraid of 5G without "killer app" at sight

The operator is carrying out a "surgical" deployment of the 5G network, based on the 5G fleet in use by its customers. The areas of advancement are the Northern corridor of the Metropolitan area of ??Buenos Aires and the cities of Córdoba and Rosario.

Telecom's 5G network reached 100 sites in mid-2024, with the expectation of reaching 260 by the end of the year. In parallel, the operator is transforming the network Core to have its Stand Alone version at the end of 2024 or in the first quarter of 2025, Miguel Fernández, CTO of Telecom, told Convergencia.
