America to present 20 proposals at the World Standards Assembly in New Delhi

This was confirmed to Convergencia Latina by Oscar León, head of CITEL. The inter-American agreements include standardization topics related to cybersecurity, closing the digital divide, financing and data privacy, among others.

At the meeting of the Permanent Consultative Council I (CCP I) held last August in Joao Pessoa, the capital of Paraíba state, Brazil, representatives from American nations approved 20 proposals to be presented at the upcoming World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-24) in New Delhi, India, from October 15 to 24.
