Digitel to enable more than 4,000 base stations with 5G by 2025

The president of Digitel, Luis Bernardo Pérez, emphasized that the State's support for the telecommunications sector has been essential in bringing cutting-edge technology to Venezuelans. Regarding the upcoming 5G deployment, he stated that "it will happen gradually. This year, we plan to bring the first 200 stations, which will be added to those we have already installed in the country. Each station allows a large number of users to connect. We are talking about around 300 or 400 homes or businesses."He also confirmed that Digitel expects to end 2025 with 4,000 state-of-the-art base stations, all ready for 5G.
