Telefónica sold its Peruvian subsidiary for € 900,000 in addition to debt of more than € 1.2 billion

The buyer is the Argentine firm Integra Tec International, which has no experience in the large-scale operation of telecommunications services. The purchase is being made in the midst of a bankruptcy proceeding. Telefónica del Perú stated that the operational transition is guaranteed due to the continuity of its management team and access to fresh funds to sustain business operations.

Telefónica sold its entire stake in Telefónica del Perú (TdP) to the Argentine firm Integra Tec International for €900,000 (around 3.7 million Peruvian soles), according to information submitted to Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV in Spanish) on Sunday.
