Streaming platforms seek new business models

As the largest source of data traffic, streaming seeks with operators to increase monetization of its services through various strategies.

While the Brazilian streaming market is struggling to find new initiatives and strategies to consolidate and increase its share of the audiovisual content business, a series of bills are being considered in the Federal Parliament seeking to regulate this market to ensure it meets national interests.

MTC submits requirements to participate in spectrum tender in 3.5 GHz band.

The process seeks to improve connectivity in a number of unserved towns and on unserved routes. Each operator will be eligible to bid for four consecutive blocks of 25 MHz each. Each 100 MHz was priced at US$126.5 million. The bidding process will determine the investment commitments of each interested operator.
