Millicom increased profits despite lower sales

The volatility of regional currencies against the dollar and the suspension of B2B business impacted the financial results. The operator reached 41.6 million mobile users, with strong growth in the postpaid subscriber base.

Millicom’s revenues reached US$ 1.374 billion, which represented a 7.6% decline in the first quarter of 2025 compared to what it billed in the same period of 2024. Among the causes of this performance, the operator with a strong presence in Central America, the Caribbean, and South America pointed to currency volatility and the cancellation of B2B projects.
