Fiber overtakes cable modem in Argentina, but satellite access shows fastest growth

According to estimates by Convergencia Research, FTTH accounted for 46% of total subscriptions in December 2024, with year-over-year growth of 22%, less than half of the 2023 figure. Starlink was the driving force behind the growth in the satellite segment.

According to estimates from Convergencia Research’s quarterly broadband report, by December 2024, fiber connections had surpassed cable modem connections, which had previously been the majority.
