The Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency (Arcotel) extended Otecel’s contract, the operator of Movistar and Tuenti in Ecuador. This decision, marking the ninth extension of the contract, involved a payment of US$ 1 million by Otecel as a “provisional economic condition,” according to Arcotel.
