The Cabinet Council empowered the National Public Services Authority (Autoridad Nacional de los Servicios Públicos, ASEP) to determine the price mobile telecommunications companies must pay for the use of radio spectrum. The decision establishes a cost of US$235,034 per MHz for mid-band frequencies. The measure covers the 1.4 GHz, 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz, and 3.5 GHz bands, recognizing spectrum as a public good.
