The Anatel has opened a public consultation on a proposal establishing specific rules for these transmission systems, including regulatory clarity and legal certainty for investments, among other measures

Since the world's first submarine cable was installed in the English Channel in 1850, linking France and Great Britain, to the present day with around 600 active systems, this transmission system has gone through different phases, but never before has it attained the importance and centrality it has acquired in recent years.
