The Panamanian government aims to reshape the telecommunications market. Through the Public Services Authority (Autoridad de los Servicios Públicos, ASEP), it has launched an international tender to award radio spectrum and enable the entry of a third mobile operator, two years after Digicel’s exit and the failure of the 2024 licensing process.
