The feasibility study led by the Telecommunications Subsecretariat (Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones, Subtel), with support from CAF, defined two routing alternatives ranging from 1,600 to more than 4,100 kilometers, with estimated investments of up to US$621 million.
