Luis Arce won the presidential elections in the first round

The MAS candidate, Luis Arce, won in the first round with 52.4% of the votes, according to data from Ciesmori's quick count for Unitel. In second place would be Carlos Mesa from Comunidad Ciudadana (CC) with 31.5% and Luis Fernando Camacho from Creemos in third with 14.1%. This provisional result was ratified by President Jeanine Áñez, who congratulated MAS candidates Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca for their victory in the first round of this Sunday's general elections.

The data were presented four hours late, after midnight this Monday. In fourth place is Chi Hyun Chung with 1.6% and in last place Feliciano Mamani with 0.4%. Moments before those results were made public and from Argentina, former president Evo Morales announced that his party had won and that it achieved a majority in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.
