Vtelca added two production lines for Vergatario

Venezolana de Telecomunicaciones (Vtelca) added two new production lines for the assembly of Vergetario in the plant it holds in the Duty Free and Industrial  Area of Paraguaná, state of Falcón.

These two lines are added to those three operating at 100% of their capacity, and that will enable to enlarge manufacture of devices. Next May, it might increase by 50%. Last year 632,000 handsets were integrated and it is estimate that such number will increase to 1.65 million in 2011.

Foreign direct investment in digital tech jumped 36% in 2024

5G contracts progress as ICE raises additional concerns

The Comptroller’s Office has given the green light to the contracts signed by the six operators (two national and four regional) to begin the deployment of 5G. The state-owned ICE plans to take legal action if Sutel does not approve its agreement with Racsa to provide fifth-generation mobile phone service.
