SNRT to operate as decentralized service

The Sistema Nacional de Radio y Televisión, SNRT (National Radio and Television System), whose creation is provided for in the Audiovisual Services law and which will group all State channels and radios, will operate as a decentralized service. The decision was approved by the Inter-Union Workers’ Plenary (PIT, for its Spanish acronym), the National Workers’ Convention (CNT, for its Spanish acronym) and the National government.

Among the functions to be performed by the SNRT, the administration, management and operation of public and private broadcasting services and encouragement of the production and dissemination of local audiovisual contents are highlighted.
