<STRONG>Special Coverage - Juan Rivadeneyra, TIM Peru's director of regulatory issues, pointed out that "instead of ruling by plots in each country of the region, a "regulatory pan-regionalization" should be achieved in Latin America. According to Rivadeneyra, the initiative would cause greater predictability for the investors, as well as allow the service synergy among the different countries from the region. The executive also expressed that "the tendency to attribute frequency segments for different technologies should be over". The market will state which technoloy will operate in determined spectrum, further the own limits of the technology. When asked about the body that will carry out the "pan-regionalization", Rivadeneyra said, "I do not believe the Mercosur or the Andian Pact would be the solution". Moreover, the director mentioned the possiblity of creating a new body and expressed that "eventhough Citel is the recognised forum, it has some peculiarities".
