Under the provision of the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) that will take effect this month, the state company plans to invest US$ 10 million to adapt their networks to the technical demands of portability.
The president of the Paraguayan Communications Company (COPACO), Mario Esquivel, said that while technological change is more complicated for the state company compared to privates, the intention is "to migrate to a new core architecture with IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), which will allow integration of all plants."
