Tigo to start its operation in 700 MHz in Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla

This is the spectrum that was auctioned on December 20, 2019, which will allow Tigo to achieve urban mobile coverage that will exceed 95% of the national territory in the medium term. With this, the operator becomes the first among its competitors to make use of this band.

In addition, it announced that it will invest more than US$740 million in the coming years in low-band antennas to boost existing networks and reach nearly 200 municipalities in which there is currently no coverage.
