Mobile services revenues fell 27% in first half of 2020

During the first semester of 2020, mobile phone service revenues reached a total of US $ 146.4 million, which represents a decrease of 27% compared to the revenues obtained in the same period of 2019, according to data from the Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT) (Telecom and Transport Regulator).

In the first quarter of 2020, active mobile lines reached a total of 11,955,740 terminals, registering an increase of 2.28% (266,910 lines) compared to December 2019.

Regarding the proportion of prepaid customers, it continues to be the majority in the mobile market, so as of September 2020, lines under the prepaid mode represented 90% of the total, while postpaid lines represented the remaining 10%.
