TIM negotiates with IHS for the sale of its optical networking business

The operator announced that it is in exclusive negotiations with the company IHS Brasil Participaciones, for the sale of control of its optical access networks unit, called FiberCo, and it estimated that the negotiations could end by the end of this month.

IHS is a telecommunications infrastructure provider focused on emerging markets and present in nine countries in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, with more than 28,000 towers. It seeks to expand its value chain to other infrastructure services, in addition to towers.
