Mercado Libre to generate 16,000 new jobs in the region

Mercado Libre announced that in 2021 it will create more than 16,000 new net jobs throughout the region, which implies a growth of more than 100% compared to its current staff. The firm assured that it seeks to expand the logistics network in the region and strengthen the IT and product areas, which generate technological solutions for the entire ecosystem.

Regarding the distribution by country, more than 7,200 people will be added in Brazil, 4,700 in Mexico, 2,800 in Argentina, 850 in Colombia, 300 in Chile and 150 in Uruguay. The operations in Peru and Venezuela will maintain their current employee pool.
