Ufinet aims to end 2022 with 200,000 FTTH homes passed in the Buenos Aires suburbs

The focus of the deployment in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area is on FTTH networks, as recalled by Gustavo Candolfi, Commercial Manager for the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile and Paraguay), during Carriers Map Day 2021. So far Ufinet adds 50,000 homes passed in Florencio Varela and the plan is to extend it to Quilmes and Lomas de Zamora.

Throughout Latin America, Ufinet has capillarity in more than 2,000 cities. Among the information shared by Candolfi, he specified that in Paraguay they have develop 15 projects in a dozen cities (Villarica, Santa Rita, Encarnación, Campo 9, Itacurubí, Paraguarí, Coronel Oviedo, María Auxiliadora, Tobatí and Caazapá), with more than 50,000 homes passed.

Ufinet in turn faces a deployment in Cartagena (Colombia), currently in progress, of 30,000 passed homes, while in Bogotá the deployment with ETB expects to reach 2.5 million passed homes. For Peru, he mentioned another laying of 60,000 homes in development these days, for San Miguel and La Perla, in Lima.

América Móvil's earnings fell 55% due to peso strength
