AWS re:invent 2022

AWS Mexico, with a focus on its Local Zone and inclusive training

AWS expects to activate its Local Zone in Mexico during 2023 and add two offices -one in Monterrey and another in Guadalajara-, said Luis Velazco, Country Director of AWS.

Velazco noted that, although AWS has been present since 2015, most of the employees joined the company in 2020. Among the achievements since then, he mentioned the two Edge Nodes in Querétaro, which allowed a strong reduction in latency.

On another front, AWS is committed to training with social impact through an agreement with the Universidad Panamericana, to train 30,000 people from less favored socioeconomic levels.
