This is a data center to meet the high data demands of customers while also having a dedicated area for major cloud providers. This setup allows customers to access the type of service they need - whether it's public cloud, private cloud, a hybrid model, or on-premise. At the same time, it caters to hyperscalers looking for local third-party infrastructure. Silvina Dalton, Director of Sales - Hyperscalers at Cirion Technologies, provided these details during Carriers Map Day 2023.
Hyperscalers have a significant demand for infrastructure, particularly as they establish regions in Latin America. "They demand a lot of infrastructure in this expansion phase. That's why we've created 'hyperscale zones' in our new data centers in Peru and Chile," explained the executive.
Regarding the demand for a multicloud environment, Dalton highlighted Cloud Connect, a product offered by the company that enables customers to connect their local network to a cloud service. It provides secure connectivity, optimal performance, low latency, and scalability. "We are connected to all the major clouds with our own infrastructure and have launched multicloud environments," she summarized. In addition to the multicloud environment in San Pablo, they have added ones in Querétaro and Santiago.
