The Yu mobile MVNO to operate on Alestra's network

The new mobile virtual operator Yu Móvil has reached a wholesale purchase agreement with Alestra, which, in turn, contracts voice minutes, text messages, and mobile data from Telcel, AT&T, and Altán Redes. This arrangement allows Yu Móvil to offer a more accessible package.

Eduardo Servin, the director of Yu Móvil, stated that the company will purchase voice minutes, SMS, and mobile data from Alestra, intending to resell them in bundles to end consumers.

Servin mentioned that he pooled his savings and, in collaboration with another partner, embarked on the Yu Móvil venture, which aims to compete against around thirty other brands vying for the mass market share in mobile telephony. "We spent six months solely on preparing the launch of Yu, and we want to finish this year in a strong position," he expressed.
