CADE to not deal summarily with the sale of Oi Fibra to V.tal

The General Superintendent of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), Alexandre Barreto de Souza, challenged the request submitted by V.tal to adopt a summary procedure to deal with the purchase of Oi Fibra (ClientCo) by that company, sold last October.

The company V.tal requested the summary treatment of that operation because it considers that the transaction does not entail competition risks and, on the contrary, improves the health of the market taking into account that Oi is going through a judicial recovery process and faces financial difficulties.
