ATT presents first 5G laboratory in Bolivia

The space will allow for experimentation and development of projects through the 5G network with benefits in terms of energy efficiency and network optimization, thanks to the use of AI.

Néstor Ríos, Executive Director of the Telecommunications and Transport Regulation and Oversight Authority (ATT), highlighted that “in the laboratory, real use cases will be presented that demonstrate the potential of this technology in various sectors, such as the automotive industry with autonomous vehicles, professional video games, logistics with autonomous deliveries, telemedicine, telesurgery and the development of smart cities.”

The regulator will enable the frequencies for implementation. It is expected that in 2025 the authorization licenses will be granted so that telecommunications operators can enable the service for users.
