The president of the Chamber of Telecommunications Service Companies (Cámara de Empresas de Servicios de Telecomunicaciones, CASETEL), Pedro Marín, said the organization continues to work in the state of La Guaira to restore telecommunications services disrupted by the tragic events of June 24.
He said service restoration is currently between 60% and 70%. He added that more than 90% of the communications system in La Guaira was affected and that CASETEL is currently operating with alternative technologies and its own power supply to fully restore services, supporting rescue operations and assistance for those affected.
