Mobile spending fell 3% in 2025

Mexicans spent an average of US$27.5 on mobile phone plans in 2025, down 3% compared with 2024, according to data from the National Survey on Availability and Use of Information Technologies in Households (Encuesta Nacional sobre Disponibilidad y Uso de Tecnologías de la Información en los Hogares, ENDUTIH).

The trend is also evident in the prepaid segment. Average spending on top-ups stood at US$9, a 2.5% decrease from the previous year.
