Coldecon assumes operations of Telesat and Andinet

With the merger, Coldecon will obtain more than 100,000 dial up connection contracts. The company announced that it will offer Internet connections throughout the country with the brand Telesat. Furthermore, Coldecon will invest US$ 5.2 million to begin to offer wireless Internet connections with Wi-Max technology within the main cities of the country. The company has 10% of the Internet national market and plans on increasing its market share to 30% within the short term.

 

Coldecon is also one of Movistar`s main distribution channels, with an average of 50,000 handsets marketed monthly. Moreover, it offers paging services to more than 65,000 users and also offers contact center, design solutions and web hosting services.

5G contracts progress as ICE raises additional concerns

The Comptroller’s Office has given the green light to the contracts signed by the six operators (two national and four regional) to begin the deployment of 5G. The state-owned ICE plans to take legal action if Sutel does not approve its agreement with Racsa to provide fifth-generation mobile phone service.
