Buenos Aires data network moving forward and adding nodes

The data network of the Government of the province of Buenos Aires, being deployed by Telecom and the UTE created between Ertach (former Millicom) and Prima, added 500 scores to the 1024 points it had initially planned. Therefore, the period to end the laying, scheduled for January 2007, will last until August of next year, as it was estimated by Delfín Rabinovich, Executive secretary of Electronic Government of the General Secretariat of Government. The network, of more than 164 nodes, will need an investment over US$ 48.8 million. The three operators of the laying approved this agreement after a bidding carried out less than a year ago. Cisco is the main technological provider of this project.
