NetUno to extend cable TV services in Caracas

Starting from an agreement with Cable Norte, the telecommunications operator NetUno will offer cable TV in the towns of Pinto Salinas and Sarría, in the city of Caracas, the Venezuelan capital. Antonio Calcaño, executive director of NetUno in Caracas, underlined that Cable Norte will develop a Hybrid fiber-coaxial network that will connect to NetUno`s network. This network will offer Pay TV services to some 4,000 homes within those towns.

In 2005, NetUno had signed an agreement with Cable Norte to offer its TV services in Petare and its surroundings. The executive president of NetUno, Gilbert Minionis, explained, “The project development in Petare, where NetUno currently has more than 3,500 subscribers, was a total success, which is why we decided to strengthen our relations with Cable Norte to extend the service to other popular areas of Caracas”.
