The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL in its Spanish acronym) has denied the report of the Arcadia Foundation published in the newspaper El Universal de México, by assuring that they have not received any report against Hondutel nor against Cable Color in relation to “grey traffic”. This declaration of CONATEL was only published in the newspaper El Tiempo, one of the media chains of grupo Continental which also included the company Cable Color, property of the executive and politician Jaime Rosenthal, father of the minister of the Presidency, Yani Rosenthal Hidalgo.

According to the CONATEL, the Office of the public prosecutor is investigating 52 complaints on that elicit act presented by HONDUTEL and stated that not one of them included Cable Color. On the other hand, starting from the report of Arcadia, the National Party demanded to the Public Ministry to investigate the alleged reports of “grey traffic” in HONDUTEL, to find out if it is true that officials of the government are involved.
