Mark Reid purchases JNAP

Mark Reid has acquired 100% of JNAP (Jamaica Network Access Point). This way, Reid will merge his company Convergent Technologies with JNAP and will invest to create a submarine cable in Jamaica as well as a "hub" for data, voice and video for the Caribbean. Through JNAP, Reid obtained 49% of TCCC (Trans Caribbean Cable Company), one of the two fiber operators - the other one is Columbus Networks, through Flow -. According to Reid, the creation of a 3º cable will allow to connect Jamaica directly with the United States as well as to current rings in the Caribbean.
